Voyage is an experimental travel-planning app. This page describes how its current features use your information.

Trip planning and storage

The destinations, dates, traveler counts, budget, preferences, and notes you submit are used to generate your itinerary. Trips, generated itineraries, and applied edits are stored on the app’s server. A draft and the current trip identifier are also saved in this browser so you can continue after refreshing.

Clearing this site’s browser storage removes the local draft and recovery identifier; it does not delete the server copy. There is currently no automatic trip-deletion schedule or account-based trip access. Avoid putting sensitive personal information in planning notes.

Planning providers

When AI planning or revisions are requested, relevant trip inputs and comments are sent to OpenAI. When live travel search is enabled, travel locations, dates, and party information are sent to SerpApi to retrieve flight and accommodation options. These providers process requests under their own terms and privacy policies.

Optional Google Maps

Voyage loads Google Maps after you choose to show the map. The selected day’s activity locations and starting hotel or lodging area are used to find places and draw the route. Clicking a pin requests Google place details and available photos. Voyage does not include your budget, traveler counts, or planning notes in these map requests, and does not request your device’s GPS location.

Google receives the places requested and connection information such as your IP address and browser information. Google may use cookies or other identifiers under its own policies. Google Maps features are subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.

Google map results are used within the active map session. Voyage does not save Google photos, resolved coordinates, or route responses into itinerary downloads or its trip database. You can use the itinerary without showing the map. Opening a Google Maps link separately sends you to Google’s service.

Downloads and operational information

Itinerary downloads are generated in your browser. You decide where to save or share them. The app also records operational request information, including request paths, status, and timing, to help diagnose failures.

Questions and deletion requests

Contact the person who provided access to this Voyage app to ask about stored trip information or request removal. Browser storage and server records are separate.
